    Change Manager

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

    Contract ( Initial 12 months with a high probability of extension)

    COMPANY:

    A large financial services company

    LOCATION:

    Cape Town (Remote with the option to travel to Cape Town occasionally)

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    • General change management
    • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
    • Identify potential people impacts, risks and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
    • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans - including stakeholder and communication plan, impact management plan, training plan and resistance management plan when required
    • Development of communication utilizing various mediums
    • Coaching and Training
    • Development and delivery of training material and training in conjunction with the Learning and development department where required
    • Assisting with training and monitoring adoption

    Employee engagement and culture:

    • Assess the change impact and readiness for change initiative, identifying key barriers
    • Engage with stakeholders to obtain buy-in to the change initiative
    • Facilitate group sessions and discussions in workshops
    • Analyze data and drafting of reports
    • Proactively identify opportunities for culture and engagement interventions
    • Promote the need for and benefits of change management as part of the change initiative

    Measure and Monitor:

    • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption and proficiency of individual changes
    • Identify anticipated points of resistance and manage this to acceptance and adoption, or implement corrective action

    DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

    • Culture actions to improve survey results
    • Conduct as-is analysis
    • Change impact assessments
    • Conduct employee engagement and culture workshops
    • Analysis of data and provide recommendations
    • Craft desired culture
    • Leadership behaviors to support culture
    • Draft road map
    • Metrics to measure and imbed
    • Development and delivery of training materials
    • Implement communication strategy

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • Excellent computer skills (MS Office and other relevant change tools used)
    • Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of Change Management models and theories.
    • Have an understanding of Change Management principles and the impact on the organization.
    • Have ability to co-design, coordinate and implement Change Management strategies
    • Have in-depth knowledge of individual and team dynamics

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    NQF 7 (Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Change Management, Psychology, Human Resources or related field

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Have at least 6 years experience as dedicated Change Management specialist on project-driven initiatives (Business and IT programs) in large organizational multi-cultural contexts.
    • Have experience in development and implementation of communication and training strategies on project-driven initiatives is required.
    • Coaching experience to develop management teams
    • Have experience in developing training strategies on project-driven initiatives
