Senior Professional Officer Public Infrastructure Planning and Design
A BSc/ B degree/ Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering
At least five (5) years’ appropriate experience as a Transport
Engineer or Planner, with relevant experience in the planning and implementation of public transport projects
Post-qualification in Project Management would be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
Plan and design new public transport infrastructure
Ensure the effective application of design standards procedures and methodologies.
Coordinate and establish multi-disciplinary project management teams for the project planning and design objectives
Program and monitor the planning and design of public transport infrastructure projects and ensure that design objectives safety and quality standards are achieved
Stakeholder engagement and risk management
Appoint and monitor the works of service providers and ensure service providers compliance with specifications and ensure compliance with City of Cape Town by-laws, policy specification and all procedures
Perform procurement activities to ensure compliance to City procurement policies
