Senior Professional Officer Public Infrastructure Planning and Design
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification Bachelors , Higher National Certificate
- Experience 5 years
- Location Western Cape
- City Cape Town
- Job Field Engineering / Technical
Requirements
- A BSc/ B degree/ Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering
- At least five (5) years’ appropriate experience as a Transport
- Engineer or Planner, with relevant experience in the planning and implementation of public transport projects
- Post-qualification in Project Management would be advantageous.
Key Performance Areas
- Plan and design new public transport infrastructure
- Ensure the effective application of design standards procedures and methodologies.
- Coordinate and establish multi-disciplinary project management teams for the project planning and design objectives
- Program and monitor the planning and design of public transport infrastructure projects and ensure that design objectives safety and quality standards are achieved
- Stakeholder engagement and risk management
- Appoint and monitor the works of service providers and ensure service providers compliance with specifications and ensure compliance with City of Cape Town by-laws, policy specification and all procedures
- Perform procurement activities to ensure compliance to City procurement policies
- Mentor subordinates.
