We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and processing all laundry items in a timely and efficient manner. The Laundry Worker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laundry area and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to specific instructions
Inspect laundry items for stains or damages and treat them accordingly
Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
Ensure that all laundry items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas
Follow safety and sanitation procedures while handling laundry items
Perform general cleaning tasks in the laundry area and surrounding areas
Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility is preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy laundry items
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
