QUALIFICATION

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4

EXPERIENCE

• 6 months general workshop/technical environment experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remain up to date with SHE procedures  
• Implement the Komatsu Way and adhere to SHE policies and procedures  
• Ensure compliance with wearing protective gear and clothing, and instruct colleagues accordingly  
• Participate in workplace safety events and stay informed about emergency procedures  
• Safely operate company vehicles and implement safety awareness in all activities  
• Report hazardous situations, incidents, or accidents promptly  
• Understand instructions and prioritize tasks accordingly  
• Familiarity with Materials Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)  
• Wash and clean components, machines, and tools  
• Safely handle and store solvents and hazardous materials  
• Monitor stock levels and report any issues or requirements promptly  
• Maintain cleanliness of premises, tools, vehicles, and equipment  
• Perform sweeping tasks in work areas and yards  
• Ensure cleanliness of recreational areas like tea/coffee stations  
• Monitor stock levels of disposable items and initiate orders for replenishment  
• Comply with Komatsu 5s policy and PPE standards  
• Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately
