    Commercial Finance Manager

    What We'll Bring:

    • TransUnion Africa is currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to report directly to the Director of Revenue Management. Which will lead the overall execution of the Commercial Finance objectives and strategies for Africa, comprising eight countries and including management of up to three associates
    • This individual will operate in a complex and dynamic working environment with multiple internal & external stakeholder interactions, to improve decision making by providing timely, relevant and accurate financial analysis and insights
    • Build core Finance collaboration and protocols with business functions, primarily Sales and Solutions teams

    What You'll Bring:

    How you’ll contribute: 

    Strategic Customers and 3rd Party Arrangements

    • Build and rollout enhanced data metrics for Strategic Customer activity and per unit Revenue Management
    • Build and maintain Key Customer P&L’s (Monthly, Quarterly & Annually)
    • Build and maintain  3rd Party “Pay Away” P&L’s (Monthly, Quarterly and Annually)
    • Manage detailed reporting of P&L variances for Revenue obtained/achieved vs NBM scenario’s and final deal implementation contract values
    • Assist Billing team with effective Customer Contract IFRS reviews and scenario planning with business stakeholders to maximize Revenue growth opportunities
    • Provide input into customer strategies and monitoring tools for all pricing and 3rd party support  arrangements to maximize Revenue/EBITDA
    • Manage Customer analysis to maximize Revenue growth and in turn drive long term value creation for our business and customers and drive a shared vision of RGM (Revenue Growth Management) across the business functions
    • Manage key third party Royalty & Variable costs analysis and reviews with associated EBITDA impact analysis at the Category/Product and Customer level, with relevant  executive reporting and communication as needed
    • Effectively manage the overall brand of TU with a customer centric approach, while effectively managing both internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop training materials and drive business review cadence for all pricing increases/analysis and associated revenue
    • Assist customers and business sales/solutions with query resolution. Identify root  causes and ensure full resolution of the core base issues
    • TransUnion operates in a project based environment, there may be a need to perform other related ad-hoc duties as assigned

    Contract Pricing

    • Execute on strategies for all Contract pricing escalations on an annual basis as well as ad-hoc throughout the year
    • Collaborate with Sales Leaders to analyze, identify and report on annual pricing increases
    • Identify and provide recommendations on missed customer pricing opportunities
    • Analyze and approve all annual pricing increases for input into relevant ERP systems
    • Educate, interact and assist management and associates with interpretation of pricing policies and procedures.
    • Manage detailed analysis of large high priority clients as it pertains to annual pricing increases
    • Develop and maintain relevant reports to analyze customer accounts and implement interventions as necessary. This includes regular reporting and presentations to the management team of pricing revenue
    • Maintain integrity of all data relating to the Customer pricing within all ERP Systems (e.g. Customer Master Data, Contracts etc.)
    • Prepare monthly pricing/revenue analysis and review with relevant stakeholders and deliver appropriately according to the relevant monthly schedules

    Revenue Management

    • Build and rollout increased data metrics for Customer activity and per unit Revenue Management Manage current monthly processes (e.g. Month end closing, Zero Billing, Internal Subscriber usage etc.), and ensure the team is aligned and able to deliver appropriately according to the monthly schedules
    • Manage effective Customer Contract reviews and scenario planning with business stakeholders to maximize Revenue growth opportunities Develop strategies and monitoring tools for all revenue work streams to ensure appropriate controls in place to minimize any Revenue leakage exposure driving increased Revenue
    • Manage Customer analysis with the sales function to maximize Revenue growth and in turn drive long term value creation for our business and customers and drive a shared vision of RGM (Revenue Growth management) across the business functions
    • Assist sales Account Executives with complex query resolution. Identify root  causes and ensure full resolution of the core base problems
    • TransUnion operates in a project based environment, there may be a need to perform other related duties as assigned

    Impact You'll Make:

    • 5-8 years working experience in a complex Billing and Accounts Receivable environment
    • Effective business analysis and Customer P&L scenario planning
    • Ability to apply analytical capability to solve complex problems

    • Presentation and effective communication skills
    • Resilient and able to build a resilient and engaged team
    • Proven track record of sound coaching managerial abilities
