    Conveyancing Secretary

    About the job
    Minimum Qualifications, Attributes and Experience:

    •        Grade 12/Matric
    •        5 Years plus experience dealing with Bonds and Transfers (Development work is preferable)
    • Must be able to work independently efficiently, accurately, and speedily.
    • Must be able to deal with high volumes of instructions.
    •        Legal secretary / paralegal / conveyancing qualification advantageous
    •        Experience with Conveyancing package e.g. Lexis convey, E4, Stordoc and Webconvey essential
    •        Attention to detail and quality focused.
    •        Strong drafting skills.
    •        Ability to multi-task and have good organizational skills.
    •        Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and high-volume environment.
    •        Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be neat and have a good work ethic.
    •        Able to work independently and under pressure.
    •        Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
    •        Excellent verbal and written communication.

     

    Key Outputs:

    • Taking ownership of the transaction from beginning to the end which includes final accounts;
    • Preparing and maintaining files accurately according to specifications;
    • Attending to all financial aspects of transactions, including collection of costs/disbursements from clients and attending to general accounting queries;
    • Drafting transfer and supporting documents for residential property transfers and bond registrations in the low cost/affordable housing environment
    • Effective stakeholder communication essential for both internal and external parties (Banks, Municipalities, Rate’s consultants, Developers, Deeds office, SARS, etc.)
    • Drafting loan and bond documents for various financial institutions;
    • Strict compliance with the various financial institutions’ procedures and processes;
    • Attending to arrange meetings with clients and signature of transfer and bond documents;
    • Preparing documents for lodgement and ensuring all conditions are met and processes followed in order for matters to be registered successfully at the relevant deeds’ registry.


    Salary negotiable depending on experience.
