    Coordinator: Marketing and Communications - (1847)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Drafting and executing marketing plans in alignment to UWC brand identity, to promote library services and resources to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Creating and managing the library's communication channels, including newsletters,websites, social media, and other digital platforms.
    • Collaborating with library staff, faculty, and university partners to develop and deliver effective communication strategies for library-related initiatives, events, and services.
    • Coordinating the production of promotional materials, including print and digital advertising, flyers, posters, and other materials.
    • Design of marketing collateral, presentations, and other visual materials.
    • Developing strategies and maintaining relationships with media outlets and other external partners to promote library services and events.
    • Conducting regular market research to identify trends and opportunities to promote library services and resources.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualification and Experience:

    • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification at an NQF Level 7.    
    • 3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or social media, preferably in a library or higher education setting.
    • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software, social media management tools, and website content management systems.

    Competencies:

    • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software, social media management tools, and website content management systems.
    • Proficiency in marketing and communications software and tools e.g. PowerPoint or Prezi, Graphic, Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of marketing and communication best practices, including branding, messaging, and social media.
    • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects in a team,simultaneously and meet deadlines.
