Council Secretary - Task Grade 16 at Nyandeni Municipality

Requirements of the Position:

• Relevant NQF level 6 qualification in Public Relations/ Public Administration and Political Science or equivalent
• Computer Literacy with Proficiency in Standard Office Applications
• Five years in Local Government with three years' relevant experience at supervisory level.
• Valid Driver's License
• Professional Registration will be an added advantage

Key Competencies:

• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages used in Nyandeni Municipality (English and isiXhosa).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good knowledge; understanding and interpretation of policy and legislation in a Local Government environment
• Good supervision, human relations, interpersonal, and communications legislation.
