The Sales Support Administrator supports the External Sales Team in sales activities and general administrative tasks in order to create an efficient sales function.
Key Accountabilities
Prepares quotes and pricing to customers of a less technical nature based on receipt of RFQ’s
Collaborates with the External Sales department on more technically complex RFQ’s to ensure technical information, products and pricing are appropriate and correct for customer needs.
Interacts directly with clients to define scope and pricing of service.
Develops and maintains relationships with assigned customer accounts and coordinates customer support based on requests.
Follows up on quotes and pricing supplied to customers and secures orders.
Controls Consignment stock.
Handles all orders received from the assigned customers and territories from Birth to Death.
Requirements
Relevant Technical Degree
Certificate / Diploma in Sales or Marketing will be advantageous
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Sales environment.
Experience in a technical environment will be beneficial.
Knowledge of the FLSmidth products and technical solutions will be advantageous.
Experience in the mining supply/steel manufacturing industry (Advantageous).
Experience on a MRP
Computer Literate in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proven negotiation and influencing skills – both external and internal.
Pro-active, detailed focused and takes initiative.
