Data Scientist at Adapt IT Holdings

The purpose of the role is to establish new clients and build on existing relationships telecoms and technology business vendors. While establishing new, as well as extending the existing data sets and billing extracts from telecoms vendors.
Role Requirements

•  Maintain and extend vendor data specification and business requirements of new and existing vendors
•  Ability to identify data or format anomalies and resolve with vendors
•  Solid understanding of DB design (Star vs. Snowflake); Ralph Kimball, etc.
•  Creating variable driven SSIS jobs for ETLs
•  Exposure to finance processes and financial requirements from an operational and management reporting (BI) perspective
•  Integration experience with operational systems

Role Responsibilities

•  Understanding of Telecoms invoice and billing
•  Ability to work with CSV and Text based data sets
•  Ability to work with SFTP, HTTP or similar transport mediums
•  Advanced Excel skills in manipulating data sets (e.g. Import CSV/TXT, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Concatenation, Substrings and IF logical expressions)
•  Microsoft SQL Skills Essential
•  Ability to converse both to business and technical stakeholders
•  SQL integration services essential (SSIS)
•  Best practice data modelling techniques (Kimball)
•  Understanding of multidimensional models (hierarchies, dimensions, etc)
•  Basic financial understanding

Education & Experience

•  Relevant Degree/Diploma qualification in IT relating to Data Management
•  4-6 years’ experience in the field
