DevOps Engineer at Altron Managed Solutions

Job Description

We are looking for highly skilled DevOps engineers with experience in working as part of a team, building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure. The successful candidate would be responsible for analyzing requirements, determining applicable tools and processes as well as recommending and implementing applicable solutions across the development teams. Creating and updating the relevant technical documentation and processes and user assistance material, requiring excellent written communication.

Responsibilities:

• Recommend and implement CI/CD tools and frameworks
• Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security
• Utilise version control, build, continuous integration solutions and code quality tools as required
• Administration of the existing implementation

Essential Competencies:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (JIRA, Git Based repositories, Jenkins, CircleCI, AWS DevOps Tools, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Implementing and integrating code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
• Software-automation production systems (Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.)
• Integration with code repositories (GitLAB, GitHUB, BitBucket, etc.)
• Proficient in scripting and scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Knowledge and implementation of branching and merging strategies (Git Flow, Trunk-based development, etc.)
• Expertise in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• Solution orientated
• Ability to identify and provide solutions to critical issues
• Ability to communicate difficult / sensitive information successfully
• Excellent communication skills

Education Required:

• N. Diploma or B.Tech / degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering degree preferred, or proven experience

Experience Required:

• 3+ years DevOps engineer or equivalent IT experience

• Prior development experience
• Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Experience in telecommunications industry
• CVM Experience
• Cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, private cloud, etc.)
• Container deployment, scaling, management, etc. (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

B-Tech: Information Technology (Required)
