DevOps Manager at Altron Bytes Systems Integration

Job Description

• Ensure customer change management processes are followed and taken into account in timely execution DevOps process
• Consult the business on how to leverage new capabilities across Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform
• Work closely with Project Managers and broader technical teams (internal and external) to deliver successful projects, taking ownership for technical delivery and hands on implementation as required
• Manage the development team comprised of both internal and supplier development resource
• Ensure the quality and standards of technical delivery including management of developers/third party suppliers
• Lead on transitioning technical delivery into operations including managing upgrades and patches
• Maintain an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and its place within the wider RSSB selected technology stacks
• Line management responsibilities
• Providing leadership and technical support to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations development team.
• Defining and managing the project lifecycle and DevOps for Dynamics projects.
• Keeping up to date with new features from Microsoft and working with the other development mangers to plan the adoption of new features and the replacement of any deprecated features or approaches.
• Developing or prototyping code in Microsoft Dynamics 365 on occasions to test new features / approaches.
• Providing technical oversight across multiple projects to ensure standard approaches are in place and a practice approach to design decisions.
• Applies the core fundamentals of the project requirements defined by the customer and drives definition of business, technical, and architectural requirements, and recognizes any inconsistencies, assumptions, and critical elements that must be considered in an Enterprise solution.
• Ability to understand the high level business requirements (Industry, Business model technology landscape)
• Demonstrates experience in use of common software implementation methodologies, including an understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step; understands and applies relevant problem solving frameworks and techniques to client engagement and internal projects.
• Defines the functionalities, use cases, interfaces, and/or load scenarios for which a POC may be needed, and outlines any prototypes as required.
• Understand the Microsoft product stack so as to provide a complete solution offering. Product stack includes MS SharePoint, MS SQL, MS BizTalk, MS Office, MS .NET, Azure Cloud.
