Director: Supply Chain Management (five-year contract) at University of Limpopo

Requirements:

• NQF level 8 in Supply Chain Management or Accounting or Business Management.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or Finance. 6 years out of the 15 years should be at a senior management level within Supply Chain Management.
• The candidate must be strategically inclined and able to make strategic decisions that are sometimes out of the box. Ability to manage in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Expert level knowledge of supply chain management principles and processes.
• Proven evidence of identification and delivery of Supply Chain management focused Improvement projects.
• Proven evidence of the implementation of change management strategies.
• Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to organize, plan, analyse, develop, and adhere to budgets, and meet deadlines
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and a clear effective customer service approach.
• Expert level knowledge of the Supply Chain Management regulatory framework in the higher education sector.
• Advanced technical expertise in MS Office suite; with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

Key performance areas:

• Strategic and Operational Management of the Supply Chain Management policies, systems and processes
• Manage and direct the provisioning of contract management; supplier performance management and supplier development services.
• Manage and direct the provisioning of demand and acquisition management services.
• Manage and oversee Inventory & Warehouse Management services.
• Management of all Supply Chain Management audits.
