    Early Talent Officer - Kathu

    Job Description:
    As an Early Talent Officer you will be responsible for: 

    • Develop and manages early talent pipelines within Kumba to provide the company with the right quantity and quality of early talent to support the execution of Kumba strategies and targets.   
    • Execute and support all Early talent strategy, policies and procedures:
    • Ensure compliance of early talent procedures and policies
    • Align and update early talent policies and procedures.
    • Develop, plan and implement a PIT programme and reporting process.
    • Provide HR administrative support to PITs, YES interns and bursars.
    • Support the Emerging Talent Specialist in ensuring performance management and reward processes are implemented according to Kumba policies and procedures.
    • Develop and implement exit questionnaires and analyse trends for turnover.
    • Support Careerwise in managing the bursary program
    • Coordinate monthly check in meetings with HODs and PITs.
    • Establish and maintain business partnership with Operations mentors and coordinators to ensure appropriate development and appointment of PIT’s.
    • Engage with Anglo American regarding early talent matters including alignment of early talent processes and procedures, knowledge sharing and exchange programmes.
    • Participate in the selection and implement the placement of the Anglo BLAST graduates and manage the BLAST graduates while placed within Kumba
    • Develop and implement appropriate recruitment processes for early talent to ensure candidates with optimal potential are recruited.
    • Benchmark Kumba early talent practices with other mining companies as well as other industries.
    • Engagement of external stakeholders such as Universities and training facilities to optimise the development of early talent placed with these stakeholders.
    • Planning and setting up multiple budgets aligned with Company cost saving and training requirements.
    • Ensure effective management of the early talent budget.initiatives and actions related to the early talent pipeline.

    This role is in the Human Resources department at a Band 7, reporting to the Specialist Emerging Talent  

    Contract Role: 18 months

    Qualifications:

    • National Diploma HR, HRD or Talent Management
    • 2–3 years’ experience within HR and Talent Management 

    Experience

    • HR administrative support
    • Experience in HR systems such as Navigator+ and SAP
