The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work in an international environment, cover key global energy issues and expand their own knowledge and understanding of an ever-evolving world. The DEA provides a daily overview of all events of note related to the upstream, downstream and energy policy sectors. Long-term experience in the position will bring an unparalleled level of expertise and knowledge regarding the energy markets.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, researching and writing DEA articles, which are primarily in a short and concise style, but can vary depending on the subject. The texts are loaded into an editorial system and published. The content is then delivered to clients by e-mail at 12 PM GMT while being also available on the company's website. When appropriate, the stories are accompanied by illustrations such as tables, graphs and maps, created in Microsoft Office tools and in ArcMap. The researcher part of the position will involve collaborating with DEA and IEL team members to create these illustrations.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a graduate in sciences with strong computer and writing skills, someone with a good understanding of geology, upstream and midstream. They should also be at ease with, or have a willingness to learn, about related subjects and E&P databases, Microsoft Office tool and GIS mapping tools. They must be able to make quick but sound decisions, work with deadlines and collaborate with colleagues located in different locations.
