Employment Equity Practitioner at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Job purpose:

• Monitoring and coordinating employment equity objectives in all allocated directorates by evaluating progress and establishing and revising numeral targets as prescribed by the Employment Equity Plan of the institution.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Recognised three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Public Administration, Public Development, or related qualification.
• Two to three years’ work experience in the relevant field.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Own vehicle and public sector experience will be an added advantage.

Key attributes and competencies:

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to analyse and have a good understanding of the Employment Equity and Skills Development Act.
• Be able to write and apply all relevant acts.
• Be able to work independently.
• Good writing skills.
• Computer literate.
