Engineering Foreman at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Foreman to join their mining company based in Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for supervising underground engineering maintenance activities, ensuring equipment availability, reliability, safety and effective maintenance performance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with legal and company safety requirements.
• Conduct and ensure completion of statutory and workplace inspections.
• Monitor equipment availability and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedules.
• Drive the reduction of repeat breakdowns and equipment failures.
• Monitor maintenance response and repair times.
• Ensure quality of completed maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain accurate and complete maintenance records.
• Control overtime, spares, consumables and maintenance costs.
• Manage employee performance, discipline and development.
• Ensure effective housekeeping and workshop standards.
• Maintain effective communication and shift handovers.
• Implement and close out audit and investigation findings.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate
• 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic with minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory/foreman role.
• Previous working experience in a hard rock underground trackless mining environment
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of drill rigs, dump trucks and LHDs
• Valid Driver's License
