You’ll need:

      Matric (essential).

      A valid driver’s licence and your own transport.

      At least 3 years’ relevant engineering, marketing, and underwriting experience.

      A civil engineering degree (highly advantageous).

Marketing and admin skills.
      Experience in the following classes of insurance:

-      Erection all risk.

• Construction all risk.
• Construction industry public liability.
• Dismantling transit erection.
• Plant all risk (contractors’ plant and equipment).
• Public liability.
• Plant all risk.
• Machinery breakdown.
• Business interruption.
• Deterioration of stock.
• Electronic equipment.
• Works damage.

Responsibilities:

•       Develop, implement, and monitor underwriting processes to ensure efficient policy administration.
•       Develop and grow our broker business and market presence.
•       Provide brokers with service excellence (technical and business support) and build relationships.
•       Analyse risks and underwrite new business.
•       Negotiate broker terms while considering treaty requirements and limitations.
•       Request, implement, and monitor surveys.
•       Analyse claims.
•       Calculate terms to extend cover.
•       Renew (and negotiate) business with brokers.
•       Liaise/negotiate with reinsurers on facultative business.
•       Assist with credit control and technical queries.
•       Provide feedback on market intelligence and changing trends.
•       Respond to (and resolve) queries.
