Estimator - Gauteng at Stefanutti Stocks

Primary duties will include:

• Issue the whole or relevant portion of the client Enquiry and Specification documents to various disciplines with required special instructions and ensure adequate communication and participation from the disciplines.
• Ensure that all contributions requested from internal and external sources are available timeously and are of sufficient quality to satisfy the client's enquiry requirements.
• Provision of full information and documentation to the various suppliers as well as internal procurement department.
• Preparation and participation in the adjudication and the selection of sub-contractor quotations to be included in the proposal with the inclusion of any recommendations to the estimating lead for approval.
• Perform take-offs and costing of components for inclusion in the proposal.
• Complete the estimate detailed sheets with all the required prices for the supply of materials and equipment and/or sub-contracts activities.
• Assist in the preparation of the estimate summary sheet by obtaining relevant information from internal disciplines and to present it to management for review.
• Prepare tender price schedules through the use of approved estimate summary sheet.
• Assist in obtaining contributions from specialist departments and prepare in draft form for approval the tender document incorporating the description of plant, technical comments and data sheets, commercial comments, conditions of sale, details of extended credit offered etc.
• Assist in the compilation of the tender submission files incorporating all approved input from the relevant disciplines and departments for submission to the client and distribution to the business manager and filing system.

Minimum Requirements:

• Very good understanding of technical drawings.
• High level of understanding of Engineering & Construction Contracts.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industry and Mining.
• Attention to detail.
• N2 and have a relevant trade or matric
• Strong and excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Microsoft Suite.
