Core Description
Responsible for providing strategic solution architecting and consulting of the SAP Technical Solutions and related service offerings within Digital Platform Solutions – SAP COE. Scoping and design of innovative SAP Technical solutions/product sets, deployment, and support, in accordance with client requirements and service excellence
Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
- Architecting SAP Technical solutions and deployments on Cloud or On-premise in alignment with high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined within negotiated and agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts.
- Produces specifications of SAP components, tiers and interfaces and translate into detailed technical architectural designs and costings
- Provide technical direction to project teams to deliver high levels of quality, standards and operability as defined in agreed project plans.
- Lead the delivery of SAP Technical solutions according to the approved architectural design and project plans
- Act as SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Private Edition) Partner Cloud Architect and S/4HANA Conversion technical lead
- Identifying, architecting and developing innovative SAP Technical solutions/product sets in support of Group strategic drivers
- Defining, refining, and maintaining SAP Technical methodologies and procedures
- Develop processes, scripts and tools for automation and efficient delivering of SAP technical landscapes and projects
- Create and maintain reference architectures, systems models, use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models to provide architectural expertise, direction, and guidance to senior management and delivery teams
- Act as escalation for SAP Basis support teams
- Provide input to proposals and RFP for the SAP Technical solution set
- Engage in pre-sales engagements by preparing and delivering solution proposals and presentations for opportunities with existing and new prospects
- Participate in client/business strategy and technical roadmap planning sessions to guide and ensure solutions are aligned to client strategies/requirements
- Provide proactive feedback to the business regarding emerging technologies and potential application, architecture, information security, standards and leading practices.
- Be the trusted subject matter expert for clients and SAP Technical teams

Qualifications
NQF 7: 3 year Bachelors Degree in IT/Business/Commerce
Or Grade 12 (NQF) with relevant SAP certification
Experience
- 8 years’ experience in SAP Consulting experience including 3 full lifecycle implementations, at least 2 years’ experience at solution architect level, and at least 2 years’ experience of architecting and supporting SAP on Cloud deployments
- Alternatively, 11 years’ experience in SAP Consulting experience, at least 5 years’ experience at senior consultant level, and at least 2 years’ experience of architecting and supporting SAP on Cloud deployments
