    Executive Director, Strategic Business Operations (Medical Device and Diagnostics CoE)

    Our Project Delivery team direct, coordinate and manage the technical and operational aspects of projects, securing the successful completion of clinical trials. We collaborate with functional area leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues on the project and ensure that solutions are implemented.

    Role Responsibilities:

    Acts as a strategic business operations and organization oversight under the guidance of executive leadership for our CRG Medical Device and Diagnostics Center of Excellence (MDD CoE) and related enterprise initiatives. Leads execution of strategic business and growth planning initiatives, communications and cross-business stakeholder engagement spanning CRG and other Thermo Fisher Scientific groups. Develops and/or drives productization initiatives resulting in new sources of revenues. 

    • Responsible for MDD CoE leadership and diverse stakeholder engagement and communications strategy;
    • Coordination and support for MDD CoE Management, driving the organization and facilitation of leadership meetings and agenda
    • Acts as a thought partner for strategic and organizational decisions
    • Provides senior leaders with various levels and types of ad-hoc business support (e.g. including but not limited to communications, presentations, data analysis creative support)
    • Leads coordination of productization and revenue optimization initiatives.
    • Supports business optimization activities by contributing to the development and scalability of work and process flows
    • Leverages expertise to identify, support, and/or drive initiatives and workstreams, from development to implementation, in order to optimize MDD business performance
    • Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities to drive MDD business solutions
    • Provides regular executive summaries regarding various priority business operations with the appropriate amount of detail and focus
    • Contributes to strategic planning and translates business performance gaps into novel performance optimization strategies and solutions
    • Responsible for proactively collating and analyzing information/data in order to support strategic business decisions
    • Supports the annual operating plan, budget, and/or other financial processes
    • Serves as an MDD subject matter expert, handling various inquiries and developing action plans to address them.
    • Works with cross-functional leadership to develop strategic goals goals in concert with corporate goals, and then formalize action plans to meet those goals.
    • Interacts with clients, as required, in collaboration with the MDD CoE Senior Leadership Team to build and maintain positive client relationships.

    Supports the development of new business ventures and enterprise wide MDD collaborations and partnerships to enhance service capabilities.

    Education and Experience:  

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
    • Previous experience (ideally in Medical Devices / Diagnostics) that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12+ years)

    • Excellent attention to detail with a fit-for-purpose level of discernment when delivering
    • Exceeds at building/maintaining trusted relationships across disciplines internally and externally
    • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills for interactions and facilitation with all levels
    • Solid business acumen across multiple disciplines
    • Demonstrated project management skills, and ability to plan and execute programs
