    Financial Manager -City Bowl

    • Be part of a forward‑thinking international business in a pivotal leadership role within its Finance Shared Services function. This opportunity provides broad exposure to consolidated reporting, governance frameworks, and end‑to‑end financial processes in a fast‑paced setting. It suits a seasoned Finance professional with a passion for strengthening processes, applying technical expertise, and leading high‑performing teams
    • Take ownership of the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) cycle within the Shared Services environment
    • Validate and sign off on journals, reconciliations, and trial balance outputs
    • Coordinate and manage monthly and annual close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
    • Partner with Commercial Finance teams to perform balance sheet reviews
    • Assess and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring ledger integrity and compliance
    • Assist with statutory reporting requirements and support external audit engagements
    • Produce and analyse management reports, including monthly results and profitability insights
    • Monitor intercompany balances to ensure alignment and accuracy across entities
    • Collaborate on revenue recognition and accruals processes with key finance stakeholders
    • Maintain and upload budget data within financial systems
    • Champion ongoing enhancements to systems, controls, and workflows
    • Guide, develop, and inspire the RTR team to achieve service level expectations and quality standards

    Skills & Experience:

    • At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Manager or Financial Controller capacity
    • Exposure to Shared Services or RTR structures is advantageous
    • Solid understanding of IFRS and financial reporting best practices
    • Familiarity with ERP platforms (e.g. NetSuite, Adaptive Insights) beneficial
    • Highly proficient in Excel with strong technical accounting skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively
    • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging stakeholders across multiple regions

    Qualification:

    • Relevant BCom degree
    • Professional qualification such as CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent is advantageous
    • Completed articles are beneficial
