Food & Beverage Manager at Steenberg Farm

Role Summary:

• Take responsibility for all stock for 2 restuarant- this includes purchasing and reporting
• Manage and purchase wine for the wine list
• Wine & Spirit training
• Manage suppliers, supplier service agreements and waste management.
• Facilitate interviews and assist with HR related matters
• Training, coaching and mentoring of staff and floor managers
• Work closely with Hotel and management team.
• Oversee cashup systems
• Loyalty programme setup

Personal attributes and skill requirements:

• Professional communication (written and verbal) as well as personal interfacing skills, resulting in a high level of credibility, trust and respect with both internal and external stakeholders
• Sound wine knowledge and a passion for wine
• Excellent presentation skills
• Sound knowledge of Micros and MyInventory
• Valid Code 08 driver’s license without endorsements
• Basic computer skills (MS Office suite – Excel/Word and Outlook)
• Solid business acumen and understanding
• A passion for customer service
• A high level of energy as this position involves working long, flexible hours, including some evenings, weekend and public holidays when required.
