General Manager: Road Transport Operations at Oza Holdings

Key responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
• Lead the transport operations team and develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
• Operations Oversight:
• Oversee daily operations of road transport, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and service delivery timelines 
• Budget:
• Prepare and manage the annual budget for road transport operations, ensuring financial targets are met
• Financial Management:
• Analyze financial data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Stakeholder Relations:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Transporters and other stakeholders, ensure prompt resolutions to queries
• Reporting:
• Prepare regular reports on operational performance, financial metrics, and project updates for senior management

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience (5+ years) in road transport operations management, with a strong track record of leadership
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis tools
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
