Governance, Risk & Compliance Officer - Sandton at Enaex Africa

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the implementation of all aspects of the risk function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report risks
• Assisting in the development of and monitoring processes to identify and evaluate department areas' risks and risk control self-assessments
• Assist with monitoring major and critical risk issues
• Assist with the corporate risk and control assessment reporting process
• Developing and improving operational reporting
• Liaising with business users to prepare functional specifications in relation to risk management and compliance
• Generating project management documents
• Preparing high-level user requirements to assist in preparation of project initiation documents
• Providing User Training for in-house developed risk management and compliance systems
• Conducting compliance & risk assessments
• Conducting and documenting compliance audits and implementation of the Compliance Risk Management Plan
• Documenting project plans, action plans, presentations, and project results for operations
• Assist with the review of policies, procedures, processes & other documentation as required
• Implement the Combined Assurance models, frameworks and plans.
• Assist in promoting a culture of compliance within the business.
• Assist with conducting governance gap analysis and reporting
• Assist the business in resolving (remedial action) compliance breaches to legislative requirement

JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• University Bachelor's Degree in Internal Audit / Risk Management / Commerce / Compliance / Law (Must)
• Hons/ Post Grad. (Preferable)
• Membership with the Institute of Risk Management in South Africa (IRMSA) or Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA) (Preferable)
• Above 2 to 5 Years Relevant Experience in Governance, Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Management (Must)
• Willing to travel
• SAP / SoftExpert software experience (Preferable)
• Knowledge of the King IV Reporting requirements and ISO 31000 Risk Management
• Proven track record of formulating and implementing risk management strategies and operating practices
• Experience of implementing policies and procedures in a complex organisation
