Governess | Camps Bay | R20 000 - R25 000 Per Month at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Camps Bay
• Children’s Ages: 8, 7 and 5 years old
• Working hours: Monday – FAbriday 06:30 – 07:30 & 13:00 – 18:00
• School holiday hours: Same as above / Slightly Flexible
• Live In or Live Out – Studio apartment with own bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette available for live in candidate.
• Duties: School drop off and collection, managing and coordinating children’s daily schedules and extra murals, assisting with and overseeing homework and academic support, preparing nutritious snacks and meals for the children, grocery shopping and household errands, taking the children to appointments and activities, assisting with family meal preparation, ad hoc babysitting with prior notice, and traveling with the family from time to time. The role also includes providing a nurturing, structured, and development-focused environment while supporting the children’s overall routine, manners, and well-being in a professional and high calibre manner.
• Special Requirements: A mature, and highly capable candidate with a strong driving record and the confidence to safely manage the schedules and routines of three children. A candidate who genuinely enjoys cooking and is able to prepare wholesome, tasty meals for the children and family would be highly valued. The ideal candidate would be calm, nurturing, organised, and naturally proactive, with the ability to take initiative and manage the household and children’s needs with professionalism and discretion. Flexibility is important, as the role will occasionally require overnight care and staying in when the parents travel over weekends. A background in education, child development, or a related field would be highly advantageous, particularly someone who can provide academic guidance, structure, and developmental support alongside childcare duties.
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – permanent
• Salary: R20 000 - R25 000 per month (Gross, before deductions)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
