Graduate Engineer: Bridges - Midrand at WSP in Africa

KEY ROLE:

Will be rapidly upskilled to perform designs using both of the Following vendor’s suites of engineering software tools:

• Bentley Suite – Roads, site and drainage modelling using Bentley Open Roads, and CAD production there of using Bentley Microstation V8i, together with document management using Bentley Project Wise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate will be upskilled to perform the following design tasks includes Civil and structural Engineering modelling and engineering designs including :

• Structural design and analysis using Prokon, Strap or Midas
• The design of bridges and civil structures including bridges, culverts, reservoirs mining infrastructure
• Site visits on construction sites
• Structural inspections
• Revit modeling of structures 
• Multi-disciplinary model federation using BIM360 and Navisworks, with clash detection and resolution
• Produce 2D CAD output to local, provincial and national authority standards
• Produce 3D BIM output to ISO19650 and/or localized international standards

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc Civil Engineering
• ECSA candidate advantageous or in the process of applying to be a candidate
• 0-3 years work related experience in the field of civil engineering design is an advantage
