    Head: Credit Advocacy

    Purpose Statement

    • Accountable for the marketing and preservation of Capitec Bank’s public perception and reputation internally and externally in respect of credit; including credit industry and political forums, the media and legal representation. 
      Responsible for articulating Capitec Bank’s credit approach to the non-executive director forums and internal and external stakeholders. 
      To align internal stakeholders with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure smooth transformation of industry changes through innovation whilst assuring compliance within required timelines.

    Experience

    Minimum:

    • 8 years’ experience within banking or financial services industry 

    • 3 years’ experience at senior management level and working with executive management

    • Experience in organisational change initiatives 

    • Persuading and influencing capabilities 

    • Self-disciplined and self-motivated

    • Formulating strategies and concepts

    • Leading and supervising 

    Ideal:

    • Legal experience especially in the retail credit space

    Qualifications (Minimum)

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Credit Risk Management

    Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

    • A relevant post-graduate qualification in Business Management or Credit Risk Management

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)

    Knowledge

    Knowledge of the following areas are required to perform the job:

    • Credit Risk calculations, including arrears pricing and provisioning
