    Head of Key Account Management

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in key account management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and key account management tools.
    • Sales Acumen: Deep understanding of sales processes, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
    • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute account management strategies that align with broader business goals.
    • Client Relationship Management: Proven expertise in managing and nurturing relationships with key clients.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address complex client and team challenges.
    • Time Management: Effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across the team.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Account Managers to ensure they meet performance goals and client expectations.
    • Strategic Account Management: Oversee the management of key accounts, ensuring that the team delivers exceptional service and meets revenue targets.
    • Client Relationship Oversight: Directly manage relationships with the company’s most important clients, acting as the senior point of contact.
    • Revenue Growth and Profitability: Drive revenue growth across key accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and identifying new business opportunities.
    • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of Account Managers, ensuring they meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets.
    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the account management function.
    • Contract Management and Negotiation: Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments managed by the team, ensuring favourable terms for the company.
    • Client Retention and Satisfaction: Develop and execute strategies to improve client retention and satisfaction across key accounts.
    • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, sharing insights with the team and senior management.
