    Head of Software Sales Division

    The Role

    We are looking for a dedicated and passionate professional with 7-10 years of sales and management experience in Software Sales. This position is based in Cape Town. We need someone who is dedicated to providing creative and innovative ways of maintaining and growing the Software Division as well as aligning internal specialist resources with opportunities and driving the team to completion. The primary goal here is to ensure that the customer's business needs are successfully and efficiently met and the sales team is growing in revenue.

    You need to boast strong networking skills, a taste for emerging and disruptive technologies, and have established relationships with key vendors in the IT sphere. High performance, agility, ownership and accountability are some of the ideal traits we’re looking for. You will also need to hold your own in a very competitive landscape. You will work closely with Tier 1 software vendors, and be responsible for driving identification, development and closure of sales opportunities into accounts.

    We require people who have a thirst for growth, relish challenges and can accurately and convincingly present customers with our cutting-edge technology solutions. You will facilitate communications between cross-functional internal teams, such as technical services, software and marketing to ensure the rapid and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. 

    Main duties and responsibilities

    • Target –assist the division to achieve monthly and annual targets.
    • Research, appoint and promote new software vendors
    • Recruit new software sales executives
    • Present and promote innovative new software products and services
    • Perform needs analysis of customer requirements and promote a solution
    • Identify and evaluate opportunities, to generate new sales of products and services
    • Determine and present pricing schedules for customers
    • Prioritize time management and organizational skill
    • Sustain activity levels; telephone calls, appointments set and database updates of the software team
    • Maintain CRM -proposals & transaction details updated according to approved and standardized procedures
    • Track sales and Report daily activity
    • Other duties as assigned

    Essential experience

    • A minimum of 7-10 years related to sales and management

    Desirable Experience

    • Software Licensing
    • Direct Customer Engagement
    • Cloud Exposure and/or enablement

    Desirable qualifications

    • Sales, complex sales training
