Management experience in a large payroll and benefits environment
Working knowledge of SAP-based payroll administration would be advantageous
Key Performance Areas
Management of a professional payroll and benefits administration service to select directorates within the City
Oversee the smooth processing of salaries to the City of Cape Town staff in accordance with corporate policies
Ensure complex attendance and absence management issues are addressed immediately
Facilitate and oversee the maintenance of a sound payroll and administration system
Coordinate and oversee the effective use of the payroll system and ensure audit and security standards are not compromised
Collaborate with external and internal clients in establishing acceptable service level agreement
Promote the production of acceptable quality payroll results that meet audit requirements
Coordinate record keeping, data storage, recovery and disposal of records
Ensure management of staff to effectively measure performance, including but not limited to leave management, performance and development, formal and informal disciplinary issues
Maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with corporate policies
