    Professional Officer – Valuations

    Requirements

    • A first degree in Property Studies / BTech in Real Estate/ Property Valuation
    • Minimum 2-5 years relevant property valuation experience
    • Knowledge of valuation systems and related legislation with good reporting skills
    • Computer proficiency (MS Office packages)
    • A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
    • Valid registration as a Professional Associate Valuer or Professional Valuer with SA Council for Property Valuers’ Profession
    • Required to be physically fit and abled bodied

    Key Performance Areas

    • Perform market valuations of all types of properties, ie residential, commercial, industrial, business institutions, farms etc.
    • Drafting reports, conduct physical site inspections, conduct investigations as well as negotiations regarding acquisitions, disposals and rental valuations; Reviewing market results and conduct market research.
    • Stakeholder interface, ie.assessing and investigating applicant counter offers or proposals and negotiating and assisting in settling disputes with property owners; represent the City at meetings.
    • Effective communication for service delivery, ie. negotiating and assisting in disputes, provide professional assistance and advise to role-players.
    • Oversee junior staff and contractors
    • Coordinating, collecting and analysing valuation data and formulating valuation recommendations

    Head - Payroll and Benefit Administration

    Requirements

    • A relevant BTech or BDegree
    • Seasoned relevant experience in a payroll and benefits environment
    • Management experience in a large payroll and benefits environment
    • Working knowledge of SAP-based payroll administration would be advantageous

    Key Performance Areas

    • Management of a professional payroll and benefits administration service to select directorates within the City
    • Oversee the smooth processing of salaries to the City of Cape Town staff in accordance with corporate policies
    • Ensure complex attendance and absence management issues are addressed immediately
    • Facilitate and oversee the maintenance of a sound payroll and administration system
    • Coordinate and oversee the effective use of the payroll system and ensure audit and security standards are not compromised
    • Collaborate with external and internal clients in establishing acceptable service level agreement
    • Promote the production of acceptable quality payroll results that meet audit requirements
    • Coordinate record keeping, data storage, recovery and disposal of records
    • Ensure management of staff to effectively measure performance, including but not limited to leave management, performance and development, formal and informal disciplinary issues
    • Maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure efficient service delivery and compliance with corporate policies

    Project Administrator

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 and Post Matric Certificate/Diploma
    • 2 years’ relevant Project Administration experience
    • Experience of supporting and coordinating projects for Senior/Executive Management.
    • Knowledge of the six stages of the built environments’ Professional Service Providers (advantageous)
    • Knowledge of Contract Management processes and systems  (advantageous)
    • Computer literate (Full Microsoft Suite Proficiency)
    • Code 08 Drivers licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Providing administrative services for the completion of baseline documents to Manager/Director
    • Evaluating and reporting the actual performance of the project against the planned scope, cost, time and quality performance baselines
    • Compiling and distributing agendas and minutes for project meetings and workshops
    • Preparing procurement motivations, obtain approvals and initiate process on request of Manager/Director
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success
    • Ensure compliance to COCT processes and procedures

    AD 02/23 Driver Grade 1,2,3

    Requirements

    • Driver Grade: 1 year relevant experience with a valid Code A/B driver’s licence and a valid PDP will be an advantage for some roles
    • Driver Grade 2: up 2 years experience with a valid Code C driver’s licence and a valid PDP
    • Driver Grade 3: up to 3 years relevant experience and a valid Code EB and EC driver’s licence and a valid PDP
    • Physically fit and able-bodied
    • Successful applicants will be required to undergo medical and driving tests
    • Basic literacy

    Key Performance Areas

    • Transport materials, equipment and staff
    • Drive lighter classes of motor vehicle, e.g. motor car, motorbike, light delivery vehicle, minibus (Driver Grade 1), drive medium to heavy vehicles, e.g. trucks-non-articulated (Driver Grade 2) or drive heavy vehicles, e.g. articulated trucks (Driver Grade 3)
    • Perform vehicle maintenance and complete daily logbook
