A first degree in Property Studies / BTech in Real Estate/ Property Valuation
Minimum 2-5 years relevant property valuation experience
Knowledge of valuation systems and related legislation with good reporting skills
Computer proficiency (MS Office packages)
A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence.
Valid registration as a Professional Associate Valuer or Professional Valuer with SA Council for Property Valuers’ Profession
Required to be physically fit and abled bodied
Key Performance Areas
Perform market valuations of all types of properties, ie residential, commercial, industrial, business institutions, farms etc.
Drafting reports, conduct physical site inspections, conduct investigations as well as negotiations regarding acquisitions, disposals and rental valuations; Reviewing market results and conduct market research.
Stakeholder interface, ie.assessing and investigating applicant counter offers or proposals and negotiating and assisting in settling disputes with property owners; represent the City at meetings.
Effective communication for service delivery, ie. negotiating and assisting in disputes, provide professional assistance and advise to role-players.
Oversee junior staff and contractors
Coordinating, collecting and analysing valuation data and formulating valuation recommendations
