    Head: Platform Operations | Centurion

    Job description:

    • The Head of Platform operations will develop & implement operational policies and procedures, developing strategies to increase productivity and reduce costs (through driving the Target Operating Model and Operational Workflow processes); The measuring, monitoring and improving company operational efficiency such as efficiency and SLA forms are key part of the day to day responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    As part of the day-to-day activities, it is expected that the following will be managed:

    • Oversee customer service in operations.
    • Optimize SLA and Utilisation of the insurance operations.
    • Process efficiency, workflow, and standard operating procedures of insurance operations.
    • Optimise the use of human capital vs automation.
    • Assist business with suggestions and advice regarding automation of business processes through technology solutions
    • Staff capacity management
    • Staff management & development in operational areas
    • Management of PMO to ensure operations drive the business delivery and focus.
    • Manage and report on business strategic deliverables.
    • Monthly and quarterly operational reports
    • Digital roadmap of operations
    • Driving zero marginal cost

    Skill sets required:

    • Degree in Engineering / CA(SA)
    • Minimum 5 years+ practical experience with insurance processes (i.e., claims and underwriting)
    • Experience in managing and implementing workflow systems.
    • Self-starter
    • Able to work under pressure.
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build good relationships with stakeholders.
    • Be able to challenge and critically evaluate existing business processes to assist business with new ideas and solutions.
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Business plan development skills
