    Head: Santam Experience (CPT/ JHB)


    Reporting into the Executive Head: Commercial and Personal (C & P), the Head: Santam Experience will assist with developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining a cohesive Santam Experience across Santam C&P.
    The role will further focus on delivering an integrated Santam value proposition and -experience through cohesive strategy planning and agility in execution, value proposition developing and delivery across the functions and business units in Santam C&P, knowledge management, business transformation and change.
    The Head: Santam Experience is responsible for the cross functional engagement of executive leaders in Santam C&P in:

    • Developing and communicating a coherent end-to-end value proposition and experience vision which will drive retention, attraction and growth in desired market segments and continuously increase customer loyalty and advocacy;
    • Formalizing the C&P’s strategic-planning processes, and leading the development of the Santam Experience, translating it for people across functions and business units;
    • Driving the development of integrated end-to-end value propositions through focused cross-functional agile teams delivering on “peace of mind”, “safeguard” and “more than insurance”;
    • Creating client-centric strategies to help the company deliver an outstanding experience;
    • Creating intermediary/agent-centric strategies which enable the intermediaries, agents and channels to remain competitive in a rapidly changing market environment and fortifies their relationship with Santam;
    • Ensuring an aligned employee experience by supporting a superior Employee Value Proposition;
    • Driving organizational agility and change by implementing new working relationships and synergies across C&P, and establishing greater transparency and accountability for those people executing C&P’s strategy;
    • Articulating and implementing a transformational journey for C&P to achieve a growth mindset for colleagues, agility in execution and operations. and client and partner centricity in C&P’s value proposition;
    • Aligning and prioritizing C&P project portfolio to the balanced realization of strategic vision and objectives across business units and functions;
    • Responsible for effective change management across the project portfolio
    • Promoting cross functional benefit realization and investment as guided by the strategic framework to improve flexibility in resource allocation in- and benefit realization aligned and quantified to achieving strategic objectives;
    • Monitoring the strategy implementation performance and progress against appropriate metrics; and
    • Assessing whether strategic initiatives, at all levels of the C&P, are in line with delivering continuously improving value propositions and experience.
    • Advisor to Executive Head C&P; market and environmental scanning; iterative strategy process and growth; business development
       

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Master’s Degree in Commerce Preferred or Postgraduate Business Qualitifcaiton
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic planning.
    • Seasoned professional, with a strong strategy orientation, who has previously held several business and operational roles in fast paced and complex environments. 5+ year’s executive management.
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning.
    • Work experience should include success in a period of growth and/or transition.
    • Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyse problems and to guide and develop solutions.
    • Ability to translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums, tailoring communications to effectively fit and influence the targeted audience; strong executive presence, presentation and communication skills.
    • Ability to leading the entire range of problem-solving work from problem definition to analysis, recommendation and the development of implementation plans.
    • Ability to influence on a global and virtual stage, demonstrating courage, an approachable style and inspiring confidence.
    • Ability to bridge cultural boundaries and norms to overcome barriers and improve outcomes.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, suppliers and customers.
    • Proven track record with strategy planning, development, and execution. The ability to engender commitment to clear strategic plans.
