    HR Generalist - 6 month Temp - Somerset West

    Job Advert Summary    

    • We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team for a 6 month maternity relief period.  You would play a pivotal role in supporting our employees and driving HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR administration.

    Please note that this is a Temporary 6 month Office-based Position

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Advanced Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, or related field.
    • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role (Motor Industry experience preferable)
    • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships at all levels 
    • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Sage People experience advantageous
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • A positive and collaborative attitude with a willingness to take on new tasks.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
    • Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various HR topics, such as harassment prevention, leadership development, and performance management.
    • Assist with recruitment & selection process by conducting interviews and reference checks
    • Conducting exit interviews
    • Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, policy updates, and diversity initiatives.
    • Assist with employment equity monthly maintenance and annual reporting
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant employment laws.
    • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
