    HR Manager (Mining / People / Human Resources / Leadership / Transformation / HR Systems) – Gauteng

    Job Description:

    Our mining services client is seeking an HR Manager who will develop and execute a People and Leadership strategy and action plan in the region/entity to maximize business performance and results.

    Responsibilities:

    • Drive a clear People and Leadership agenda that is in the forefront of the organization.
    • Drive a performance culture and continuous improvement.
    • Attract, select and develop the best talent in the region to build high performing teams.
    • Ensure that we have a strong pipeline of internal talent performing in their current roles and capable and motivated to develop into new roles in the company.
    • Strengthen leadership to make sure we have leaders who actively work with People Management in order to create lasting results.
    • Ensure a lean and agile organizational design with the skills needed now and in the future.
    • Promote a learning culture with continuous development and growth.
    • Actively promote OneHR through collaborate in a team of HR resources from both the region and from CoE with the aim to deliver a great employee and manager experience.
    • Drive Change management approach when needed.
    • Set and drive a compensation and benefits strategy including driving the regional pay adjustments and yearly performance calibrations.
    • Safeguard labor relations.
    • Alignment of policies, processes etc. with Regional HR Managers/HR Managers colleagues.
    • Be a role-model for the digital and data-driven way of working.
    • Lead in diversity and inclusion across the region/entity.
    • Responsibility for SHE within the organization.
    • Drive internal communications with a focus on employee engagement.
    • Reports to GM and take an active part of the management team and responsible for a team of HR BP where applicable.

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in broad HR roles, minimum 5 of those years in a comparable HR management role. HR management experience on senior level, knowledge of local HR standards, procedures and legal related topics.
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration or Behavioral Science.
    • Fluency in English, both in speech and writing is a key requirement.
    • Experience of working with SuccessFactors or other cloud-based HR systems is highly desirable.
    • Experience aligning global HR strategies and goals with local HR plans and standards.
    • Experience working with councils and legal matters.
    • Experience of HR transformation initiatives including digitalization and automation.
    • Knowledge in agile methods and tools like Teams.
    • Outstanding leadership and change management skills to significantly strengthen the HR teams
    • Superior communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to build relationships and trust and inspire different stakeholders
    • Self- starter and innovator
