Payroll Officer (Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

About The Role
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to provide back up support and assistance to the Payroll team members in administering Payroll processing and associated activities for multiple Payrolls
Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead, you will assist in delivering accurate and timeous payroll activities

• Capture payroll data and effectively process payroll transactions according to instructions received via Electronic Ticketing Transactions. (e.g. New hires, terminations, payroll data amendments/changes
• Validation and processing of Travel and Expense claims for weekly payment to Employees
• Accurate and timeous payment to third parties.
• Payroll deadlines are met and adhered to
• Prepare data for audits and assist with Auditor queries.
• Prepare and load cashbook payments onto banking system
• Perform Bank reconciliation
• Reconcile schedules to the vendor postings and submit to the relevant parties at month-end.
• Bank reconciliations
• Resolve payroll-related employee queries and Third Party queries efficiently and within set deadline
• Perform Administrative tasks e.g. Payslip printing and distribution; Quarterly share statement distribution;
• SAP Payroll Reporting
• Filing of confidential documentation

About You
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have

• Strong focus on health, safety and environment;
• Matric
• Diploma in payroll management/HR/Financial accounting would be advantageous
• 2-3 years SAP Payroll processing and knowledge of payroll procedures
• 2-3 years reconciliations experience
• SAP reporting
• Able to work independently
• Attention to detail
• Self-Time management
• Logical thinking
• MS Office and advanced MS Excel skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to follow global processes/adhere to global controls
• Team Work, Cooperation & Interpersonal Relationships
• Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle
