    Job description
    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • National Diploma or Degree in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management/Labour Law
    • A relevant postgraduate qualification in Labour Law/LLB will be advantageous

    Experience

    • Minimum three (3) years’ employee relations experience preferably in a mining environment:
    • Extensive knowledge of BCEA, LRA and other legislation regulating particulars of employment
    • Experience and proven track record at the CCMA
    • Strong litigation and case law background

    Key performance areas

    • As our HR Business Partner (ER) some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to: 
    • Research developments within the employee relations environment and provide input to the employee relations policy
    • Provide advice with regard to clarification of company policies, as well as disciplinary action procedures
    • Support the ER Manager with conducting research into the latest trends and Codes of Practice (COP’s) for Labour Relations
    • Assist with the facilitation of training on basic labour relations to boost leadership effectiveness
    • Provide the required ER support to the HR team in the facilitation of engagement between line management and employees
    • Provide administrative support in the development of assessment metrics to be used for tracking the effectiveness of initiatives implemented by the Employee Relations function
    • Collate and prepare documentation needed for litigation processes and provide input to ongoing cases
    • Provide high level employee advice that can contribute to increased employee engagement
    • Maintain good working relationship with organised labour
    • Attend CCMA cases

    Additional requirements

    • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word and Power Point)
    • Medical Certificate of Fitness
