    Human Resources Manager

    Job Purpose

    To facilitate and integrate alignment to Nedbank Human Resources processes; practices and provides advice and services to optimise Human Capital within Nedbank by operating as a strategic business partner.

    Job Responsibilities

    Young Talent

    • Pipeline building for the future
    • Address transformation challenges
    • Young Talent recruitment and formalised programme
    • Rotating across GT – broad GT skills – doing meaningful learning (not skivvy work)
    • Long term return on investment (GT Divisions appoint from this pool for meaningful roles
    • Proper profiling of roles and EVP to retain this talent

    Skills transfer - Retirees

    • Addressing the Retirees challenge
    • Robust strategy and operationalisation of skills transfer between retirees and identified successors
    • Drive HRBPs to facilitate this process in their businesses
    • Monitor quarterly progress of action plans and assist HRBPs to address challenges experienced by the business
    • Measure the success of this process – less to no retirees to be offered contracts
    • Identified successors are skilled and business has the confidence to appoint them into these roles.

    Transformation

    • Design and execute on GT’s transformation plans as per Group’s guidelines.

    Leadership Development Programme

    • Identify challenges with transition from Management to Senior Management
    • Identify Hi-Pos from Middle Management
    • Formalised development programme
    • Pool to select from for Senior Management roles
    • Address transformation challenges at Senior Management level

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Preferred Qualification

    • Honours HR related degree

    Essential Certifications

    • SABPP registration preferred, IPM registration preferred

    Minimum Experience Level

    • 3 - 5 years experience in HR generalist consulting role

    Technical / Professional Knowledge

    • Business metrics applied to the HR function
    • Employee engagement methodologies
    • Employment Equity / DTI plans/labour legislation
    • Human Resources systems
    • Principles of project management
    • Remuneration policies and principles
    • Company policies and procedures
    • Company vision and strategy
    • Forecasting HR needs
    • Job analysis and profiling approaches
    • Mediation and conflict management processes to use between managers and employees
