    Human Resources Officer - EMEA

    Overview

    Are you an experienced HR professional looking to grow with Ten?

    The HR Officer will provide expert support and advice to operational management in all areas of HR whilst consistently demonstrating HR best practice. The HR Officer will be the initial point of contact for all operational HR related matters. The HR Officer will proactively assist with the development and achievement of the team and the Organisational outcomes on any strategy. Whether we're recruiting new people or serving the ones we have, the People Experience team is responsible for delivering a quality employee experience that enables all of our people to be their best.

    What will you do?

    Visa applications

    • Manage visa applications / invitation letters for new starters, visitors and leavers.
    • Ensure visa sponsorships are cancelled for leavers.
    • Monitor key HR metrics, such as turnover and retention rates, and drive actions based on this data.
    • Manage exit interviews and produce exit interview summaries on a regular basis, highlighting key learnings and areas for focus.
    • Complete all required personnel audits (finance, legal, client-driven).
    • Encourage employees within the business to self-serve using the HR tools available, using each opportunity to coach and educate on HR issues to promote self-sufficiency.

    Absence Management

    • Oversee staff attendance and absence monitoring and reporting.
    • Assist in high absence return-to-work meetings.
    • Build managers confidence in managing absence issues via workshops and 1:1 meetings.
    • Manage the full cycle of capability hearings.

    Policies, process and advisory

    • Monitor, review and update all HR policies and ensure these are in line with current legislation.
    • Monitor and suggest changes to HR processes across the region.
    • Develop job descriptions and technical specifications.
    • Support managers in driving high performance against agreed standards by identifying and managing any under-performance promptly.
    • Work closely with various departments, in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement HR policies and processes.
    • Play an active part in DE&I councils to promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of Ten.
    • Advise managers on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
    • Interpret and advise on UK employment law.
    • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands and managing the full process for any grievance or disciplinary issues.

    Others

    Requirements

    • Need to be based in Cape Town (for collaboration)
    • Experience in an HRBP/HR Adviser role
    • Apart from SA, a "Must have" demonstrated knowledge of UK employment-related laws, regulations, and compliance requirement
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-growing company and coordinate with the People HR team globally
    • Demonstrates customer service behaviours of responsiveness, efficiency, pro-activity
