    Senior Human Capital Business Partner Kathu and Bloemfontein Global Grade 13

    Key Outputs

    • To provide strategic and operational human capital partnership to business leaders by translating business priorities into integrated human capital strategies. The Senior HC Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor, driving organisational effectiveness, exceptional employee experience, workforce capability, cultural transformation, and people risk mitigation to enable sustainable business performance. He/she provides the human capital context and translates business operational objectives into requirements for human capital programs and services.
    • Translate Human Capital strategy into a clear people agenda, goals and plan for the region / area within the boundaries of the set by the business and Human Capital.
    • Use analytics, data and trends (both internal and external) to diagnose BUs issues and recommend effective solutions.
    • Initiate, design and execute integrated people solutions that address key business drivers, bringing together resources within the business unit and Human Capital Centres of Excellence (CoEs).
    • Ensures business units have appropriate people plans, capability and human resources to deliver the plans.
    • Proactively identify and drive wellness initiatives to improve awareness, wellbeing and work life balance for all employees.
    • Actively help business leaders to build effectiveness of the management teams with appropriate leadership development initiatives sourced through the leadership school of excellence and implemented with return on investment measured and / or monitored.
    • Coach and challenge business leaders on all aspects of people strategy and Human Capital related issues to raise the bar on performance across the function and build a highly engaged workforce.
    • Partner with Finance in the region / area and lead strategic workforce optimisation initiatives and any associated change management projects in order to actively increase productivity (revenue/FTE) and business performance.
    • Partner with leadership team on management of people issues such as reward, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, organisation development / change management, transformation, culture, leadership, learning and development.
    • Champion talent management within business unit and ensure a cohesive approach across functions from acquisition to talent development to key employee retention.
    • Responsible for the delivery of all end-to-end Human Capital processes, incl. employee relations, ensuring continuous performance, efficiency, process improvement and compliance.
    • Ensure high levels of Human Capital service delivery and value-added Human Capital solutions to create exceptional employee experience and business outcomes
    • Ensuring that organisational change is managed in a way that upholds relevant legal and ethical standards and provides policy and legislative interpretation as and when required.
    • Consulting with employee and business leaders on the review of policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
    • Coaching organisational leaders and Human Capital team in the management of employee performance concerns, ensuring that such issues are dealt with promptly, effectively and in line with legal and ethical standards.

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • B-degree in Human Sciences e.g. Psychology, Social Science and/or Human Resources / Business Administration or equivalent.
    • Postgraduate Qualification in Human Sciences or Business Administration (advantageous)

    Minimum Required Experience:

    • Five to seven Human Resources generalist/business partnering experience.
    • Three for four years managing a Human Capital function.
    • Experience in complex operational environments (manufacturing, mining, logistics, engineering, or similar) preferred
