Description
Stefanutti Stocks Inland is currently seeking an IR Officer, that is able to assist and provide advice, consult, and facilitate disciplinary and grievance procedures and policies, implement, and maintain comprehensive IR administration system, maintain all labour related policies and procedures, and represent the company at the CCMA and Bargaining Council. The successful Incumbent must be a team player and willing to travel extensively.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain employee relations,
- Disciplinary code
- Grievance Procedure
- Dismissal due to Operational requirements. Performance enhancement.
- Dismissal due to incapacity/ill Health/poor work performance
Educational Assistance. Advise and assist Directors, Managers, Site Agents, and employees on the following.
- Labour Relations Act (Act 66 of 1995)
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997)
- Unemployment Insurance Act (Act 30 of 1996)
- Skills Development Act (Act 97 of 1998)
- Employment Equity Act (55 of 1998)
- Stefanutti Stocks HR Manual and Procedures
- Advise and assist employees on the formulation of grievance if required, Discuss the settlement outcome with the employee and supervisor concerned. And monitor the grievance and decide what action to take.
- Represent the company in disciplinary proceedings.
- Prepare the strategy to be followed and represent the company in appeal proceedings. Represent the company at the different Dispute Resolution Bodies (CCMA and BCCEI) Attend to all correspondence in order to respond or make enquiries, to obtain or disseminate information, and issue instructions to employees Responsible for the effective and efficient running of Labour Relations.
- Must visit sites on a regular basis.
Skills, Experience and Education:
- Grade 12.
- A Tertiary Qualification (Degree/Diploma) will be an advantage Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role preferably the Construction and Civil Engineering Industry Must have good planning and organizational skills.
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Must have a Code 8 Drivers License and his/her own vehicle Must be able to handle clerical and administrative work.
- Must be computer literate.
