DUTIES:
Provide day-to-day desktop, hardware and software support to staff, including account administration, password resets and equipment setup
Assist with server builds and take new builds/releases live in production, including basic post-deployment monitoring.

Request quotes and stock availability from hardware/software vendors and coordinate hardware repairs and servicing with external suppliers.
Support and troubleshoot internal web applications and services, including diagnosing and resolving outages.
Draft and maintain SOPs, knowledge-based articles and internal IT activity reports for management.
Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate register of IT hardware and software assets, including allocation, condition and lifecycle status.
Backup & Restore: Monitor daily backup jobs and perform file/system restores as needed to ensure business continuity.

Matric Certificate, with a Diploma or Certification in IT (e.g. A+, N+) preferred.
At least 3 years’ experience in a help desk, IT Support or Junior Systems Administration role.
Solid understanding of desktop hardware, software installation and basic network troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, virtualisation technologies or data-centre/hosting operations.
ATTRIBUTES:
A self-motivated, responsible individual who takes full ownership of their work and can be trusted to work independently with minimal supervision.

Demonstrable reliability and accountability, with a valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable personal vehicle for regular travel between sites.
