The Junior Data Analyst is tasked with building and maintaining business reporting dashboards, and developing predictive models to support various business initiatives. The Data Analyst also provides insights, assists to improve reporting processes, and ensures accurate and operational dashboards for effective decision-making.
Key roles and responsibilities :
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Liaise with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Support, Finance, and 3rd Party partners.
Reporting Documentation:
Develop Reporting BRS documents in conjunction with the Business owner, including managing the BRS sign-off process and ROI calculation of the report development.
Dashboard Development:
Build, refine, and maintain business reporting dashboards to support day-to-day operations across the business in line with business KPIs.
Predictive Modeling:
Build, maintain and refine predictive models to support marketing, product, support, finance, and fraud initiatives.
Insights Provision:
Provide insights to business owners on the reports, with recommendations for improvements.
Process Improvement:
Identify reports, processes, and/or models that will improve business performance in line with KPIs.
Business Process Enhancement:
Improve business processes, databases, and recommend new tools.
Dashboard Accuracy:
Ensure dashboards are operational and accurate to support the business decision-making process and reporting.
Budget and KPI Management:
Work within a defined budget, targets, and KPIs.
Leading-edge Business Analytics:
Drive the business to be at the leading edge of Business Analytics.
Requirements :
Proficient in Excel, mySQL, postgres, SQL, Python, AWS Cloud Services, Data Visualization (Quicksight and PowerBi).
Knowledge and experience with AWS preferred.
Knowledge of SDK and API integrations between services.
Knowledge of websites, apps, and HTML.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, deliver on tight deadlines, and achieve stretch KPIs.
Constantly benchmark performance against leading world-class businesses.
Ability to interpret and make data-driven decisions.
Proven organizational and collaborative skills to balance divergent priorities.
Positive and empathetic attitude with a proven ability to work well with and lead teams.
Excellent written communication skills: grammar, sentence structure, and spelling.
Strong computer literacy with an ability to learn new applications quickly.
Flexibility to perform ad-hoc tasks as per business needs.
Degree or post-graduate qualification in a quantitative discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data modeling.
