Junior Digital Project Manager - Cape Town at Incubeta

Roles and Responsibilities:

Administration:

• Support the daily management of tasks and account handling.
• Assist in utilizing the project management tool (Monday.com) under the guidance of the Delivery Management Team.
• Aid in capturing and reporting on new and current tasks, providing updates on task status, workloads, and accounts.
• Facilitate timely communication among teams.
• Learn and adhere to standardized procedures and processes.
• Assist in executing production schedules and managing creative projects.
• Participate in inter-departmental meetings to gain insights into operational workload.

Project and Resource Management:

• Assist the Delivery Management Team in basic task/project assignments.
• Learn to monitor traffic processes and provide suggestions for improvement.
• Support in ensuring stages of the campaign process align with client brief, budget, resource, and deadline deliverables.
• Contribute to working across multiple media campaigns, ensuring all parties are informed of progress.
• Assist in ensuring project deadlines are met and related personnel are accountable.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Shadow the management of digital projects across different-sized accounts.
• Learn to collate task and effort estimations into client project plans.
• Assist in managing client projects against a defined budget.
• Observe the change management process and learn to identify scope creep.
• Contribute to implementing best practice ‘Ways of Working’.
• Assist in planning and scheduling projects efficiently.
• Observe resource utilization against initial commercials/budgets/effort estimations.
• Learn to communicate project status internally and externally.
• Observe the verification of project output against objectives.
• Assist as the first point of contact for Account Management Teams in the life cycle of a digital project.
• Learn to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
• Observe the provision of highlight reports detailing project status.
• Understand the importance of maintaining administration tasks to a high standard.
• Learn the setup of jobs and costs in Traffic for individual job basis profitability.
• Show interest in improving existing processes and workflows.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Relevant educational background or a strong interest in digital marketing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a quick learner.
• Resourceful, eager to learn, and takes initiative.
• Basic time management skills with a willingness to work within a team and a self-managed environment.
