As a Junior Receptionist, you will be responsible for operating the hotel's telephone switchboard efficiently while providing professional and courteous service to guests, visitors, and employees. The role ensures that all incoming calls, messages, and enquiries are handled accurately and promptly, while supporting the Front Office team with administrative and reception duties to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Operate the hotel's switchboard, answering and directing incoming calls promptly, professionally, and courteously.
Take and relay accurate telephone messages to guests and employees in a timely manner.
Transfer calls to the appropriate departments and provide callers with accurate information regarding hotel services and facilities.
Welcome guests and visitors at reception and provide assistance with general enquiries.
Assist with basic guest check-in and check-out procedures when required.
Coordinate guest wake-up calls and ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
Receive and distribute guest mail, parcels, and internal correspondence.
Respond to guest requests and direct them to the relevant department for prompt resolution.
Assist with administrative duties, including filing, record keeping, and updating guest information.
Report maintenance issues, emergency calls, or security concerns immediately to the relevant department.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Security, Reservations, and Food & Beverage to ensure efficient communication.
Adhere to hotel policies, brand standards, confidentiality requirements, and health and safety procedures.
Participate in departmental training and contribute to maintaining high service standards.
