Laundry Assistant - Bronkhorstspruit at Canyon Coal

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a laundry assistant to work at Khanye Colliery. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the laundry facility. You will clean, dry, fold, and organise laundry items according to standards. Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for the position.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• Experience working with laundry
• Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to laundry operation.
• Familiarity with proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sort and separate soiled laundry items based on colour, fabric type, and washing instructions.
• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines.
• Pre-treat stains on laundry items before washing.
• Load and unload laundry machines, adjust settings and detergent quantities as necessary.
