    Lead Technical Consultant(Blaze)

    Job Summary:

    • The Technical Consultant will be responsible for the implementation of decision solutions, primarily using Blaze Advisor/Decision Modeler, J2EE and Web technology on UNIX, Linux or Windows platforms. The consultant forms part of a team that will manage multiple implementations from project inception to the point the client goes live. Close interaction and collaboration with our clients are key to ensuring customer satisfaction and success for both our clients and FICO.

    What You’ll do:

    • Design and implementation of Blaze Advisor rule repositories
    • Blaze Advisor rule writing and testing
    • Assist in integration of the Blaze Advisor rule repository with the client’s IT systems
    • Installation and configuration of Blaze Advisor
    • On and off-site support for Blaze Advisor for the duration of the project
    • Delivering consultancy on Blaze Advisor and related products and technology
    • Delivering ‘health-checks’ on existing Blaze Advisor rule repository implementations
    • Implementing and configuring rule repository testing frameworks
    • Understanding and communicating both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives including client view, internal development view, and operational and support view
    • Seeking out clarification and examples when necessary
    • Constantly seeking out and improving product and technical knowledge
    • Constantly seeking out, contributing and implementing ideas for process improvements, more efficient use of resources, product enhancements, improved communications and quicker issue-resolution
    • Participating in quality assurance test planning, technical publications development, system design sessions, implementation planning, and other phases of decision solution development lifecycle as needed
    • Building relationships with a broad spectrum of stakeholders from senior executive to support desk. Leveraging these relationships effectively to validate assumptions, acquire useful information, negotiate among competing objectives, resolve issues, manage change, agree to direction and achieve consensus
    • Coordinating effort with offshore teams
    • Ensuring completion of high-quality deliverables within time-constraints
    • Facilitating discussions to obtain approval on the requirements from all stakeholders

    What We’re Seeking
    Essential:

    • Technically related degree, BSC Hons or above or equivalent work experience
    • Highly proactive and able to work independently
    • Self-directed with consulting experience
    • Excellent inter-personal skills, comfortable in establishing trusting relationships.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet critical time-sensitive objectives, emphasis on planning skills
    • Proven functional expertise in a lead software implementation role
    • Proven Customer Facing Experience

    Advantageous:

    • Experience of working in IT on multiple platforms (Unix, Linux or Windows) either supporting or implementing decision solutions
    • Demonstrated exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture
    • Excellent SQL skills
    • Good understanding of Java programming as well as programming in arbitrary scripting language
    • Good understanding of internet/web technologies such as HTML, CSS, HTTP, XML etc.
    • Good understanding of version control systems such as SVN, etc.
    • Excellent technical writing and business communications skills
    • Self-directed individual with excellent inter-personal skills, comfortable and successful establishing professional relationships especially remotely (electronic, phone, written, etc.)
    • Demonstrated ability to meet critical time-sensitive objectives, emphasis on planning skills
    • FICO Blaze Advisor version 7.x, PowerCurve, StrategyManager, jRules, iLog or other Business Rules Management Systems
    • SAS, SQL, R or Python experience
    • Experience within the fields of Customer Management, Fraud, Collections and Recoveries or Originations
