Requirements

• B.Bibl/B.LIS, B.Tech:LIS or PG Dipl.LIS or B.Inf(Hons)or equivalent 4 year post matric qualification
• 2-3 years practical experience in a public library
• Proven computer literacy in MS applications
• The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and on Saturdays on a roster basis
• The ability to speak isiXhosa or Afrikaans with English in specific libraries to run programmes with children in a specific community
• Registered membership of LIASA (Note: candidates without registered membership will need to obtain LIASA membership within 3 months of appointment)
• A high level of literacy and general subject knowledge

• Making resources available to students/learners
